I had the excellent opportunity to hang out and take pictures with Sarah and Richard in Middleburg, VA this past month! Since they had never been to Middleburg I figured we should go! Middleburg is so nice! It's a little town out past Leesburg, VA--"downtown" is no more than a few blocks total. But the surrounding area is really open; there's lots of farms and open fields. So it's a great place to take photos! We started out at a cemetery (I mean it was a PRETTY cemetery...but any future clients not wanting to go the cemetery route for engagement photos, I won't be offended : ) ) and while we were there we found that the nearby lake was almost totally frozen which was pretty awesome, and we also discovered a bizarre and beautiful horsehead grave marker. I thought it'd be interesting if a horse was buried there, but we all decided it was probably just some person who was really into horses. Afterwards we went into Middleburg proper and walked around, eventually stumbling upon a coffee shop called Cuppa Giddyup. We all got hot chocolate and agreed on the way home that it was one of the best hot chocolates we had ever had! Highly recommended. Definitely get it with whipped cream and sprinkles.
Richard and Sarah were really fun to work with and I can't wait to photograph their wedding in Upstate NY next month! It's going to rule. For now, take a look at the pictures from our adventure!
