Sandy + Kevin // Baltimore Engagement

It was rainy, it was cold, it was windy, it was foggy, it was awesome.

I’m glad we all collectively decided to go through with this session despite the aforementioned meteorological issues Baltimore was experiencing at the time.

Have I mentioned yet how great Sandy and Keven are?? They are great!!! They’re wonderfully comfortable around each other that comes from a lasting love, and have a warmth to them that’s easy to see. Their wedding is going to be in Baltimore next month and I cannot wait to be there. Until then, check out this crazy baltimore engagement session!

Janene + Jerel // Richmond Virginia Engagement

Oddly enough, up until last week I have never done a portrait session in a recording studio.

Well, check that one off the bucket list!  Because this engagement session at In Your Ear recording studio in Richmond Virginia was amazing!

First off, Janene looked stunning in a beautiful, sparkly black dress.  And I loved her ability to make Jerel laugh.  Second let me also mention that Jerel is a FANTASTIC pianist.  It's not every day that your engagement session has a soundtrack performed by the subject.

Their love and affection for each other made me really happy.  I could tell by the way they held each other and looked at each other that there is something truly special and joyful about them.  This session was an incredible amount of fun and I'm so excited to be showing these images off!

Katie + Jorge // Washington DC Wedding

...what to say about the couple who has everything?

//

Katie and Jorge are two peas in a ridiculous pod.

Both of them have the amazing ability to warm up any room just by being in it, and Katie's smile always brings a smile to my face too.  Full disclosure: a LOT of my close friends were at this wedding, being crazy, and making it one of the most fun and epic weddings I've ever shot.  After the wedding at Catholic University Chapel, everybody scooted over to Glen Echo for carousel rides, an uncountable amount of cookies, and dancing the night away.  The evening was punctuated by beautiful speeches, me sneaking the lucky couple out for night portraits as often as possible, and all of the guests dance-fighting over rights to stand in front of the well-placed giant dancefloor fan, which undoubtedly averted a string of heatstroke-related injuries.

I cannot explain how happy I am to show off these beautiful people doing crazy things like getting married, so I'll stop here and let the photos do the talking!
