Annie + Jeff // Manchester Richmond Engagement

They say that true love is a circle: it begins not, nor ends.

Hence the rings.

Annie + Jeff and I met up in Manchester, Richmond, at The Path Untraveled (that's those awesome 17-foot steel rings next to the pedestrian bridge!) to travel said untraveled path and explore the surrounding area; it was amazing to be with these two and get to know them as we dodged bikers, powerwalkers, and like 50 groundhogs.  I'm very excited for their future together as they prepare to embark on this weird/wonderful thing called marriage!

Serena + Jenson (+ Ricky!) // Richmond Engagement

Abigail and I discovered Great Shiplock Park last year on a cute post-workday Italian picnic date, which was promptly interrupted by a horde of Pokemon Go-ers catching 'em all while I was trying to precariously construct a prosciutto/pomodoro/gran padano/olive oil sandwich (omg).

So when I thought of great engagement session locations in Richmond, Great Shiplock Park logically came to mind.  I used this model:

This is how everybody else thinks, right?

Serena and I met while I was on assignment in DC photographing a group of research students from California visiting Capitol Hill, and she was one of the researchers!  I'm so glad I got to hang out with her + her fiancé Jenson, and their amazing dog Ricky!  It was incredibly cold + windy, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that it only made the session better!  They are wonderful people; not only were they totally natural in front of the camera, but I could instantly tell that they had a strong connection and spirit of togetherness that comes right through in their images.  I cannot wait to capture their wedding this summer!
